But lighter isn't automatically softer: less mass can transmit more shock at contact, and very light paddles can tempt you to swing harder. - Best scorers: the RPM Q2 16mm family (7.8 oz, score 87) is both light and high-scoring. SLK Dauntless (7.9 oz, foam, 82) is the value pick at $150.00.
- Budget light: SLK EVO Control (XL) lists 7.85 oz at $80.00 (score 81).
